A collection of lithographs featuring notable Yiddish literary and cultural luminaries can be found in Lazar Ran's Jewish Writers collection. This collection represents a celebration of Jewish intellectual and cultural life in contrast to the gloom of the Minsk Ghetto cycle. Through these pieces, Ran aimed to honor authors whose works influenced Jewish identity, many of whom experienced or were impacted by the turbulent 20th century. The creative and memorial portraits highlight the significance of cultural survival in addition to physical survival. As a collection, it pays homage to the persistence of Jewish tradition, creativity, and intellect. These lithographs were made to look like old tombstones. Each writer's name is featured, written in Yiddish. These artworks were donated to Solomon Schechter Day School of Metropolitan Chicago. 

While the artwork was in my families possession, it was never properly scanned. During the transportation of the artwork, for the purposes of Border Patrol, scans were made of each individual peace of art. While these were not the best quality, they are the best that are available. Some are better then others.
